Isaiah 49:10

they shall not hunger or thirst,
neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them down,
for he who has pity on them will lead them,
and by springs of water will guide them.
Isaiah 49:10

To be led requires the willingness to open oneself up to the seeking the will of God. It is having the guts or the humility or perhaps both to pray the ultimate prayer: Not my will, but yours be done. If we end up where we think we should be - the most familiar place, the most comfortable place - chances are we are trying to lead God and not the other way around.
